Frank,

I think the Savage is very susceptable to high heat and/or high humidity conditions. I know my machine runs amazingly well when it's cooler and dryer, but not too well when it's real hot and humid. Yesterday it was like that and my bike didn't run very well. What happened yesterday is typical of what I've found when I ride when the weather is nasty, lower power and rougher running, especially when accelerating.

Overall, it doesn't seem to matter what speed I'm going, when it's cooler the engine seems to work effortlessly and when it's hotter it seems to work harder and rougher, which is OK as I don't like riding when the pavement is like a furnace.
